How we research our guides
Our guides and explainers are written and maintained by the Building Health X editorial team and checked against NYC Housing Preservation & Development (HPD), the Department of Buildings (DOB), DHCR, and New York State housing law. We publish under a team byline rather than inventing individual authors, and we update pages as rules and city data change.
